I don’t want to lead
with my head anymore.
I want to lead
with my Heart.
Look at the world
we have made
with our very smart heads,
filled with anger, numbness,
arrogance and dread.
We have overlooked
the Supreme Intelligence
alive inside every single
one of us.
It is
the eternal spark
of the Heart.
Yes, it is invisible.
No, the mind does not fathom it.
And that does not make it unreal.
The evidence is everywhere,
if only we will look with our
Hearts wide open.
There is Something far grander at work—
Something impersonal yet deeply intimate.
It spins the planets, digests our food,
and moves inner and outer storms
all the way through.
Why don’t we trust in it?
Why don’t we melt into its
undying embrace?
The answer is obvious,
though perhaps
not what we want to hear.
For if what holds us back
isn’t love,
then it must be fear.
Fear of what?
Have you ever stopped to wonder?
To truly inquire?
Who am I?
and
Who is afraid?
It has been said:
the longest journey
we will ever make
is to the Heart
from the head.
And so, as I set sail
alone in the dark,
away from everything
that has ever been—
or might have been—
in my “very smart” head,
I sense a profound pull.
The riptide has arrived.
Resistance is inevitable,
but so is surrender,
and I find solace
in knowing what
must be known:
The way Home
is lit from within
and will always
be shown.
What wonderful poetry!
There certainly IS "Something far grander" at work when we surrender and open our hearts to Jesus. He is the Eternal Spark of the heart - lighting, leading, and making The Way from the head to the heart much shorter. And, through His heart becoming one with our own, He guides us along the way Home - to His Father, The Supreme Intelligence alive inside every single one of us.
Wise and brave…thank you
